The Information and Analytical Centre for Geology and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter – IAC) was established in 1995 in pursuance of the RK Government Decree. IAC responsibility is the acquisition, analysis and dissemination of data on the status of mineral-raw materials complex of the Republic and the concept of rational use of mineral resources. IAC carries a state license for topographic and geodetic and cartographic activity. Current IAC portfolio comprises more than 300 maps: these are maps featuring various types of infrastructures – administrative, mining and metallurgical, oil and gas, electrical and energy – specific to each Oblast and to the Republic as a whole. Maps for all types of minerals – solid minerals, oil and gas, and subsurface waters – specific to each region and to the country as a whole. IAC publishes printed matter in the form of compendiums of subsurface-related standard and legislative regulations, analytical reviews, information booklets, posters, and booklets. Besides, for the first time ever within the post-Soviet space, IAC published a set of reference books on Kazakhstan deposits and fields. The above printed matter is published in Russian and English. In pursuance of current legislative provisions, IAC can provide copies of geologic information on the mineral and raw material complex to subsurface users.
