KarazhanbasMunai JSC produced heavy oil at Karazhanbas field, Buzachi Peninsula, 230 km from Aktau. The project employs over 4,000 people, both the company employees and contractors. Citizens of Kazakhstan make 98.4% in KarazhanbasMunai JSC, while foreign specialists, 1.6%.
